People in Winston-Salem WARNING:DO NOT ORDER from Peking Restaurant on Silas Creek.Terrible service. Terrible delivery. Terrible customer service. Terrible food. Food was late OVER 1 hour and a half! The fried shrimp was very dry, hard, and over-cooked. Bean curd was SWIMMING in sauce. Chicken Teriyaki, again was over-cooked, and too salty. We will never order from this place again. This was our second and final try.The woman on the phone never apologized, refused to help, and showed no empathy. She was rude and does NOT UNDERSTAND customer service. When I complained to the delivery person, he didn't say a word about it. Not one word! I wish I had seen the reviews at their site first. I see we were not alone in the same kinds of complaints on the site.My family has run several popular restaurants in Winston-Salem and close by towns under the Aslanis, Simos, and Sam Pappas names/family. We understand the business. We understand customer service. We understand the food business. We understand how to make customers happy and making things right no matter what. These people don't.These people DON'T deserve your business. They have no idea how to run a restaurant, or a delivery business. They have no respect for their customers and it shows.Don't waste your time here, or your money.They have had several years worth of the same types of complaints and they have not learned how to deal with the problems.Check them out at : www.gopekingRestaurant.com to see the bad comments for yourself.

ENGLISH: "PLEASE BRING CHINESE MUSTARD" TRANSLATES: "DO NOT DELIVER A SINGLE PACK OF MUSTARD, GIVE CUSTOMER 1 EXTRA PACK OF DUCK SAUCE AND PACK OF SOY SAUCE". WE HAVE ORDERED FROM THIS RESTAURANT FOR OVER A DECADE, BUT WE ARE ABOUT TO QUIT. THE WORST EXPERIENCE WAS ORDERING BAO BAO PLATTER AND SEVEN STARS AROUND THE MOON.

the food is fine (IF you get what you ordered) and who knows WHEN you'll get it. sad to say... but an ENGLISH-speaking hostess answering the phone is ALL this place would need to see 500 improvement. the confusion and rudeness/cluelessness on the phone is ALMOST comical (if the exchange of money for service wasn't at stake). DO NOT PATRONIZE this place for delivery or carryout... unless you have the patience of job and are willing to only get maybe 90 of what you ordered (whenever it DOES finally show up at your door (usually cold)).... and the REAL FUN begins IF you decide to try and get your screwed-up order remedied and try to explain it to the person on the other end of the phone... and then see if even shows up. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED !!! order at your own risk. i've been patient and willing, but FIVE strikes... and this place is OUT (for this customer)

Do NOT ever order online with these people!!! Waited over an hour before I called to find out where my food was. Manager hung up on me three times!!1 He told me he was too busy to talk to me (a paying customer). I will NEVER order from then again.... Evidently paying customers are not important to these people. Do Not waste you Time or Money!!!!!

PLEASE learn the english language! OR hire a senior in high school to work your phone. food is fine, but delivery and accuracy of order STINKS... every time! you cannot answer questions... promise to call back (because you don't have a copy of the order there and have to wait until the driver comes back ???). you're getting 3 and 4 things wrong PER ORDER! i call... you argue with someone... and hang up on me after you're SURE you DIDN'T get the order wrong (like i'm lying!!!). no... i'm warning EVERYONE to NOT order out or (heaven forbid) or order delivery. it's just NOT worth the hassles. your service doesn't deserve anything of a rating..... AND you hang up on me....... TWICE! you just DO NOT understand english... and this is NOT china.

I received my order at the Holiday Inn where I have a broken foot and did not want to go out. It only took about 20 or 30 minutes from phone call to the food arrived at my room on the fourth floor. It is the best Chinese food I've had in years. I got the Tung Ting shrimp. The white sauce is delicate and delicious, the shrimp plump and tender, the vegetables very fresh and perfectly cooked. Everything was very hot. I also got the dieter's delight chicken and vegetables (to eat later) which are steamed and bland, a good thing, because I am sensitive to lots of foods and try to avoid gluten. I believe this dish might be safe although I did not ask them about their GF procedures. There is a fragrant sauce on the side which must be a dipping sauce for the dieter's dish. This gives you control if you are on a low salt or fat diet. Next time (and there WILL be a next time!) I will ask them if the sauce is free of gluten. I placed this order around 3 in the afternoon so that may explain the fast service. Other comments say they have had trouble with orders being late, and cold, but I imagine during dinner hours they may be very busy and in bad weather or traffic hours, I would expect problems because I can see how popular the place must be from the quality of this food. I recommend ordering off hours. My hotel room has a small fridge and microwave so I will save the 2nd dish for later. I frequently stay here for medical appointments and I wish I'd found this place earlier. This really is a healthy alternative to pizza.

Well, I haven't even gotten to taste the food yet. I have been staying in town for work and asked the front desk of my hotel for a chinese delivery place since it was literally below freezing and I did not want to go outside. I have been waiting for 1 1/2 hours just to eat what is probably not that great takeout. I have called the place 3 times to find out where my food is and the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude. She told me they were busy and everybody's food is going to be late to which I responded that this was a horrible business practice especially for a delivery service. I asked for my $20 bill to be refunded since it was taking so long to which she proceeded to hang up on me. I guess I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company now. UGH!! So disappointing and still hungry!!!

first time I ordered from them it was good, this time I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. The delivery person said she couldn't see my resident hall on the paper because "it was too small". I ordered french fries with my order and got charged and they weren't even in there. Even worse my food was cold. #BEYONDPISSED

If I could do 0 stars I would! Ordered food to my hotel and was told 45 min, food came cold after 2hrs and multiple phone calls to complain.... Spring roll was soggy and dripping in grease, shrimp ting ting was horrible, hot and sour was more sour then anything.... Food was horrible, thumbs down!!!

I had a very rude man who answered the phone and hung up on me and my friends several times. It took and hour and 45 minutes to deliver our food!

I odered from here and hour and a half ago and still have not recieved my food. This is unacceptable service. If you give a specific time, it should be here at that specific time. I expect the food to be free and if this should happen again, you will loose faithful customers.

I ordered food and paid for it before the closing time and they did not deliver. It's finals, and the worst time to not have good service. If my meal ever gets here, it better be fresh and free.

The Lady that answers the phone needs to be fired she is rude and has no home training she raises her voice and curses at customers I will NEVER order from this Peking AGAIN!!

I've had takeout in Houston, Detroit, Montreal ... nothing I've had compares to the quality, freshness of ingredients and PRICE of Peking in tiny old Winston-Salem, NC. If it weren't for this little place I literally couldn't continue to live here. Enough said!

If you ever had really good New York Chinese food you will be reminded of it when you eat at Peking. Their food is just awesome, just wished it had a more elegant atmosphere.?
